Anasuria Operating Company Limited (AOC) is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Senior Petroleum Engineer to join our team. As the Senior Petroleum Engineer, you will be responsible for the delivery of subsurface and production technology work associated with the Anasuria Cluster, including production allocation, production optimisation, well modelling, reservoir surveillance, reservoir modelling, production forecasting and production related regulatory engagement.
Role and Responsibilities:
Health, Safety and Environment
· Ensure well activities are conducted in an effective and safe manner in compliance with Company, industry, and regulatory requirements.
· Support HSEQ reviews, verification processes and the implementation of standards for well related activity.
· Support the delivery of safety, integrity and environmental performance of the Anasuria Cluster.
· Participate in risk management processes and communicate well risks appropriately through the organization.
Strategic Priorities
· Support all efforts to maximise production.
· Support the maintenance, integrity and accuracy of well / production databases and historical records.
· Develop and implement life of field well and reservoir management plans.
· Improve business management and decision making through digital technologies.
General Responsibilities
· Daily monitoring of production, water injection, gas lift and well performance.
· Support loss reporting and management.
· Generate crude lifting forecasts ensuring alignment with finance, JV partners and shareholders.
· Monitor production and flare vs consents.
· Support emissions reporting and forecasting.
· Support short and long term production forecasting.
· Work with team members to build and maintain well and network models (Prosper and GAP).
· Use well and network models to analyse production performance and identify short-term actions to increase production.
· Identify and quantify opportunities for incremental production through well interventions.
· Develop and present technical and economic justifications for well interventions.
· Coordinate with well operator for planning and execution of well interventions.
· Review plans, designs and programmes for scale squeezes and well interventions.
· Represent the company offshore during scale squeezes and well interventions.
· Coordinate with the well operator and production operations for well integrity management and the operation of wells within approved limits.
· Monitor well performance and well integrity in line with expectations.
· Develop well/reservoir management plans and monitor performance vs plan.
· Develop and implement scale management plan and coordinate with other teams regarding scale inhibitor squeezes.
· Identify and manage H2S and sand production risks.
· Develop digital technologies including Power BI to support business improvement and decision making.
· Participate in management, shareholder and regulator communications and meetings.
· Complete regulatory reporting for operated fields.
· Build close working relationships and maintain communication with other teams at all times.
Key Attributes
· Excellent overall knowledge of petroleum engineering including production technology, production/process engineering, drilling and completions, reservoir engineering and geoscience.
· Offshore experience preferably in the UKCS North Sea.
· Good knowledge of HSE, commercial, economic and financial aspects of the business.
· Ability to present, discuss, understand and digest technical work at an appropriate level of detail.
· Professional integrity and commitment to business objectives.
· Ability to work under pressure.
· Excellent communication and computer skills.
· Self-motivated, able to work under own initiative and as part of a team.
· Ability to prioritise tasks and react to urgent requirements.
Competence Requirement & Skills
Competence Requirements and Skills
· 5-10 years’ experience in petroleum or reservoir engineering for operated assets, preferably oil fields in the UK North Sea.
· Experience with Microsoft Office, Osisoft Pi and Power BI.
· Good working knowledge of well and network modelling software (Prosper/GAP).
Education & Associations (Essential)
· Degree Level Engineering (preferably Petroleum Engineering).
