As Reservations Agent your key responsibilities will include:
To be fully conversant with the Opera system and to apply it to individual and group reservations
To be fully aware of all department standards of performance and procedures and to follow them
To be fully aware of all information required for a reservation and to obtain it accurately and efficiently
To possess a thorough product knowledge at all times and to utilise this information when dealing with clients
To operate with a sales attitude and be aware of the sales opportunities within the Hotel which will assist with the maximisation of revenue
To have a comprehensive understanding of the departmental telephone standards and that calls are answered and handled in a timely manner in accordance with departmental standards
As Reservations Agent essential skills are: Previous experience working as a Reservations Agent for 4-5* hotel is preferable
Experience in managing both individuals and groups enquiries
Exceptional Customer Service skills
Enthusiastic, self-motivated, proactive, resourceful with excellent attention to detail
Demonstrate excellent presentation, negotiation and communication skills with the customers and other hotel departments
Management skills and team worker
Ability to work under pressure
Knowledge of Opera is desirable
