RESEARCH PROJECT MANAGER / PRINCIPAL SCIENTISTCHAIN Biotechnology has developed a unique proprietary, therapeutic approach (CADD) based on engineering a probiotic strain of Clostridium to deliver oral vaccines and therapeutics in the infectious diseases and oncology field.Reporting to the Chief Scientific Officer, you will be responsible for:KEY REPONSIBILTIES: Managing a small multi-disciplinary research team at Medicity, Nottingham including the lab manager Project management to ensure timely delivery of projects, through management of schedules, budget, scope & risk management throughout Playing a leading role in project design, experimental planning and data analysis/ interpretation Working with the CSO to manage relationships with academic/industrial collaborations, consultants and CROs Generation of technical project proposals for collaborators and writing grant applications alongside the CSO Communicating scientific results through reports and presentations to the CSO and assist in progress reports to the Board/Exec Leadership teamEXPERIENCE / SKILLS: Relevant life sciences degree/PhD and relevant experience in the fields of molecular biology, microbiology and/or immunology Experience in leading and developing projects and teams, including good team leadership and people management skills Ability to create and develop hypotheses, study designs and/or methods based on technical experience Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team Experience in the preparation of a pre-clinical data package (advantageous but not required)Competitive Salary, 25 days holiday, stock options
