Cedar are working on a fantastic opportunity for a Research Finance Administrator to join an esteemed higher education institute based in the South East on a part-time, interim basis.
Rate: �18 - 21 per hour
Working Pattern: 2-3 days in office
Location: South East England
Contract Length: 3 Months
Working Hours: 20
Responsibilities
- Liaise with faculty finance and monitor expenditure on grant funded projects.
- Ensure income expenditure and commitments are up to date on Excel trackers and Grant funded projects and send reports to Lead Researchers.
- Complete post award and financial administration on Grant funded projects.
- Assist with the preparation of financial statements and submit them to project funders.
- Utilising Asana or similar project management software to set up and update tasks and new project pages.
- Produce documents regarding the institute's research for internal and external circulation.
- Increase collaboration and engagement with industry events and other media and promote research in the department.
- Maintain a database of all research-consultancy projects and income generation for reporting to senior management.
- Foster collaborative research links with other higher education institutions, industry and government agencies and support academic and research staff.
- Attend monthly meetings with Principle Investigators.
Requirements
- Strategic and operational knowledge of international research funding landscape and related issues.
- Able to understand and analyse research proposals and offer constructive commentary.
- Proficient with Worktribe (or similar grant costing tool), MyFinance (or similar budget management tool), and Excel (advanced).
- Experience working for a higher education institute.
