Job Description
Title: Market Research Executive
Company: Grounded Research
Grounded Research is a specialist food and agriculture research agency based in Peterborough, Cambridgeshire.
You will provide day-to-day support, co-ordination and delivery of first-rate research, ensuring successful insight delivery for clients. You will play a crucial role in supporting the research manager by conducting thorough audience market research, analysing data, and delivering insightful reports. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate findings effectively.
Part time considered for the right candidate. You will be expected to be in the office in Peterborough approximately 50% of the time on a flexible basis.
KEY RESPONSIBILTIES
Supporting the research manager with any activities relating to delivering the research projects, these may include;
Designing and scripting questionnaires accurately and promptly using specialised software and serving this survey to the Insight with bite panel and other panel partners.
Contacting and managing research participants for the duration of the project.
Maintaining the panel database e.g. updating respondents’ details for accuracy.
Operationally building survey samples to serve the questionnaire to; managing the survey when live, weighting of tables and ensuring quality of output.
Interpretation and analysis of quantitative data and presentation of the results.
Responding to queries from clients with accuracy, speed and clearly communicating the recommended research approach.
Creating reports in PowerPoint that identify key findings and actionable recommendations.
Assist in any other aspects of work of the Company as reasonably required.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
You will have a flair for quantitative research, with an understanding of research methods and how to utilise them to design research to meet clients’ needs
Excellent numerical skills – keen eye for detail, can interrogate and present large volumes of data in a digestible form.
Creative and thoughtful approach to research, up for a challenge and happy to balance competing demands of multiple projects.
Experienced in developing and nurturing client relationships, with the ability to articulate insights to clients
Self-motivated – able to work to deadlines, prioritise projects and deliver results on time.
Confident in IT systems and ability to learn new systems quickly.
Expertise with Excel e.g. manipulating spreadsheets, comfortable using basic formulas including sort function, pivot tables and creating charts.
Working knowledge of PowerPoint.
Knowledge of designing and scripting research questionnaires is beneficial.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Previous market research and quantitative research experience would be an asset.
Degree qualified or equivalent in a Business-related discipline is desirable but not essential.
Not essential but beneficial - Agency side experience in;
Concept/Product testing
Hall/Restaurant testing
Max Diff, Conjoint and how to utilise advanced analytics
