Job Description
Role overview
In this role you will be part of a team who are experts in designing and implementing large-scale, complex research programmes. You will be using your particular skill-set and expertise (be it DP management, Python, VBA, questionnaire design etc) to develop and implement new solutions across all of the teams that RADS works with.
You'll be responsible for working across a range of clients to implement solutions that drive operational efficiency and research best practice.
What will I be doing?
Producing data analysis, tables and reports, using tools such as Excel, Survey Reporter, Python and SPSS
Collaborating with our internal operations teams (DP, scripting etc) to ensure quality and accuracy of work, ensuring delivery is on time
As designer/implementer, work on specific solutions that have been assigned to you, ensuring that you have close contact with the relevant people to keep them updated on what is or isn't working to enable us to pivot direction if necessary.
Getting involved in wider team initiatives intended to continuously improve how we work and what we do.
You will start with a tailored onboarding programme and will continue learning through training and on-the-job coaching.
While not a prerequisite for the role, experience of, or an interest in learning, programming languages would be a plus.
Ipsos UK offers a hybrid working environment, 3 days in the office and working the rest from home.
What do I need to bring with me?
A logical mind and a passion for making things smarter, better and faster
A high level of numeracy (a related degree would be an asset ) and strong attention to detail
An interest in exploratory analysis and a willingness to work with big data sets
Experience of existing research and data processes and a hunger to unpick them into their constituent parts, to diagnose opportunities for new solutions.
The drive to learn, understand and improve
The ability to work efficiently under pressure and to be accountable for managing your own workload
A curiosity for finding new ways to do things, using trouble-shooting skills to think on your feet
Strong interpersonal skills - the ability to communicate clearly and persuasively
A passion for Excel
Experience of programming or coding or using software (such as Python, SPSS, or VBA) is a advantageous

About the Team
The Market Strategy & Understanding (MSU) Service Line performs strategic research to deliver contextual understanding to help clients navigate dynamic markets. Our offer portfolio consists of strategic brand research as well as category & consumer fundamentals. We work with clients to understand the size and composition of a market as well as the segments/profiles/demand spaces therein. We also specialize in brand equity, brand assets, brand stretch and open category opportunities (e.g. whitespace).
