Research Assistant

An international thinktank for sustainable development and climate change is seeking a Research Assistant to join their growing team in London.
In this role, you will be responsible for research and analysis in the fields of digital and AI policy, economic environmental national security, and climate impact.
The ideal candidate for this role should have 2-3 years of research experience.
TYPE:
Permanent, full-time
WORKING HOURS:
Monday to Friday, 9:00 -17:00
SALARY:
£24-26k level, depending on experience (negotiable)
LOCATION:
Central London (On-site)
Main Responsibilities for Research Assistant:
• Research and analysis in the fields of digital and AI policy, economic environmental national security, climate impact
• Arrange regular meetings with partners and perform as meeting moderator
• Provide insight and analysis based on desktop research and knowledge acquired through cultivation of individual and institutional relationships
• Attend business conferences and work groups aligned with the organization’s objectives per instruction of senior management
• On occasion travel domestically and internationally, requiring overnight stay(s), as needed
• Conducts “one-on-one’s” as part of the data gathering process
• Assists with administrative tasks of the Project Manager
Ideal Candidate for Research Assistant:
• 2-3 years of research experience
• Business level of English is mandatory
• Able to go on a business trip – required 1 or 2 times a month (destinations can be anywhere around the world)
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong organizational and planning skills
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
