Job Description
Working on behalf of our client based in Wrexham. We are currently recruiting for a Development and Test Engineering Technician.
Key Duties
Conduct development and testing procedures for various low and medium voltage accessories.
Execute laboratory test protocols, encompassing low and high voltage electrical tests, adhering to British and International standards.
Perform mechanical testing in accordance with British and International standards.
Construct test samples and rigs as per the specifications outlined by the R&D team.
Consolidate and present ongoing test results to the electrical products engineer and R&D teams as part of the design and development process.
Offer product familiarization support at customer sites and within the Components laboratory.
Deliver training and oversight on laboratory test equipment to the team.
Oversee the maintenance and calibration schedules of laboratory test equipment.
What we are looking for in the successful candidate:
Qualified to HNC level or equivalent in Electrical Engineering..
Experience in a test or installation environment would be beneficial but not essential
Knowledge of electrical systems
Knowledge of data logging would be advantageous
A working knowledge of Microsoft office is essential
