The Reporting Accountant will report to the Group Management Accountant and form part of the Finance team. As part of this team, you will be supporting the smooth running of the financial reporting of the business with a particular emphasis on statutory accounting / audit with some ad hoc management accounting tasks. The position will require liaising with external and internal stakeholders.
Hybrid working - 3 days at home, 2 days in office.
Typical responsibilities include but are not limited to.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Be the key contact for auditors for several Group companies.
Investigate and resolve audit queries.
Production of annual statutory accounts. Excel model and Word
Reconciliation of statutory accounts to trial balance
Prepare and produce tax packs.
Support of Group level accounting
Month end close support to include Accrual / prepayments and BS recs
Work with the Finance team to continually improve processes and business performance.
Go to person for audit and statutory account and tax queries.
Support changes in the role necessary to take the department and business forward; and
Work to achieve personal objectives set at appraisal and/or those set monthly or quarterly.

Timely and accurate Balance sheet reconciliations
Assist with auditors and other external parties.
Desirable Attributes
ACCA / ACA / CIMA finalist or qualified
Advanced Excel
Multi-currency experience
Experience in a multi-entity environment.
Experience of Statutory accounts
Advanced Word experience
Previous experience of systems implementation
An in-depth knowledge of Systems / SQL database
