Repairs Supervisor

A social housing contractor who work nationally are looking for an experienced Repairs Supervisor to join their business to work on projects within the Birmingham area. This role is working on an ongoing project with a long standing client and they are offering a permanent role for the right candidate.

Description

• Assist the Responsive Repairs Manager in the delivery of a high performing, effective and efficient Responsive Repairs and Maintenance Service including the monitoring of a team of Trade Operatives and Sub-Contractors
• Responsible for the supervision of a team of trade operatives and sub-contractors delivering a wide range of responsive and reactive maintenance jobs/projects
• Responsible for the efficient use of resources and ensuring that, job planning, appointments, resource allocation, materials, plant and equipment are effectively utilised
• Providing support, mentoring and continual guidance for the team, reporting back to the Responsive Repairs Manager where needed
• Ensure all activities meet with requirements for quality management, health and safety, legal stipulations, environmental policies and general duty of care - Seeking further advise where appropriate

Profile

To be successful in this role you must have experience working on responsive maintenance contracts across the construction industry - ideally within the social housing sector. You will have strong people management skills - ideally with experience managing multiple trades.

You will also have experience managing specialist subcontract supply chains and have strong understanding of SHEQ practices/legislation.

Experience working on social housing repairs/maintenance contracts is essential for this role.
