Repairs Planner

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Repairs Planner to join a well-established Construction company in Barking, East London.The ideal candidate will have a strong background in communicating with residents for making appointments, be a team player and liaise with other office members, as well as site staff. General knowledge of repairs and maintenance, planned works, is important and required however, if you have experience in fire safety works, this job will suit you best. About the roleAs a Repairs Planner you will play a crucial role in ensuring that all operatives and teams have scheduled jobs and that the correct operative is assigned to the job and collate together what materials are required for the operative to then act on the information. Duties will include:
Keeping on top of daily emails and never leave them unansweredProviding job updates to clientsLiaising with residents for appointmentsExtracting what the requirements for the job i.e necessary materials and providing this to the operativesExtracting PDF surveys and fire risk assessmentsUploading information onto the company job management system (E-Works)Keep tabs of the assigned contracts and any client requirementsManage complaints and satisfactory reports
About the rewardsFor the role of Repairs Planner there is on offer a salary of £28,000 to £32,000 per annum, depending on experienceAbout youTo be successful for the role of Repairs Planner, you must have / be:
Strong knowledge of using Microsoft Office, especially ExcelAble to think on your feet and come up with solutionsDemonstrable experience and knowledge of how to talk to residents and clientsThe ability to quickly pick up processes and understand the various company systems Confident in liaising with the office and on-site staffAble to chase operatives to actively finish jobs on time and with good qualityAutonomous in your craft and refer the line manager when you are unsure
Skills and attributes
Knowledge of fire safety works (firestopping, fire doors etc)Knowledge of general construction, specifically repairs and maintenance, planned worksPro-active planningThinking on your feetPicks up and understands quickly
About the CompanyWith a combined experience spanning over 50 years, the company has been open for over 10 years, managing and completing projects inside London and the M25 for a variety of clients including housing associations and London councils. Projects undertaken include internal/external refurbishments and maintenance to new builds.
