Due to growth-driven expansion, Karbone is seeking a London-based Renewable Energy Sales Trader.
Responsibilities:
Originate, structure and execute bilateral deals/contracts for various classes of environmental commodities throughout global markets
Areas of coverage may include any combination of Guarantees of Origin (GoOs), Renewable Guarantees of Origin (REGOs), Biofuels and Certificates, International Renewable Energy Credits (I-RECs), Power Contracts (PPAs), etc.
Establish, manage and grow relationships with existing and new market participants
Maintain knowledge of current market developments, regulation/legislation and industry trends
Act as a key company representative in the UK and EU, participate in industry networking events and conduct client meetings with the goal of growing company exposure and building book
Opportunity to launch new business lines and expand team with high growth potential. Metrics for success will include revenue generation, deal pipeline origination, deal closure, client onboarding and activity, etc.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics or Finance preferred (Graduate degree a plus)
1-5+ years of experience in a business development, sales, trading, or brokerage/account management role
Industry experience in renewable energy, environmental commodities, etc. required
Experience transacting in UK and/or European markets required
Ideal candidates will demonstrate strong initiative, results-orientation, innovation, and an entrepreneurial attitude
German language skills are a plus
