Renewable Energy Land Manager (Onshore)

Piper Maddox are working with a hugely exciting renewable energy developer who specialize in primarily solar and battery storage technology. With a highly stable investment backing and EPC partnership in place, it is a fantastic time to be joining up with their growing team.
With a targeted solar pipeline of 2GW, this company's land team has undergone significant growth recently and shows no signs of slowing down! They are on the lookout for a land manager to join the team to assist with sourcing land for their growing project pipeline. With in-house planning and engineering and development functions, there is a clear line of communication throughout the team.
Some key skills and experience that would lend themselves well to this position include: a high level of initiative when it comes to engaging with landowners to secure land deals, a proactive approach to land/development matters, and previous experience with renewable energy projects would be highly useful.
Key responsibilities in this role:
Sourcing and identifying potential new land & development sites for utility scale renewable energy projects.
Engaging landowners as well as managing external land agents throughout the project lifecycle.
Working on the commercial negotiations relating to land including heads of terms, option lease agreements, and wayleaves.
Stakeholder management with landowners as well as those in proximity to potential developments.
Management and mentoring of more junior members of the land team.
You would be joining up with a collaborative and friendly team with a wide range of experience in the renewable energy sector. With sites across the UK, this role also offers the opportunity for frequent site visits and public consultation events.
