Your new opportunity
Quarriers Rivendell service are currently recruiting Relief Intensive Support Practitioners  to join a dedicated team who care for children and young people 24 hours 7 days per week. The service is a registered care home set in the idyllic location, Quarriers Village, Bridge of Weir. There are 4 children who are supported within the home all of which have individual support needs such as autism & ADHD. Some of the children are non-verbal, have complex sensory needs and may have experienced trauma in their young lives. At Rivendell we adapt the support for each individual child to ensure a safe, calm and nurturing environment is maintained for all, where children can thrive and live their best lives.
As a valued member of the team you will support each child with a range of interests which can include but not limited to walking, cooking, art, musical and sensory activities. A key part of the role will involve promoting health and wellbeing as well as providing personal care depending on individual needs.
Working pattern:  This is a relief contract based on shifts available within the service to meet the needs of the children and young people we support. Days are  7.5 hours per day 7am – 2:30pm ,  2pm – 9:30pm. We also cover waking nightshift which starts 9pm - 8am.  This service supports people 24/7 including days, nights and weekends.
What you will need to be considered
Excellent communication skills, including verbal and written to support recording and reporting
Willing to develop and learn where required to support and adapt care based on individual needs.
Ability to offer support to Children, Families and young People including enable rights and deliver person centred care and trauma informed approaches.
Flexible and reliable
Due to the idyllic location of the service a driver is desirable with access to their own transport.
