Role Overview
York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals are seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as Relief Hospital Security Officers. The successful candidates will play a crucial role in maintaining the safety and security of our patients, visitors, and staff.

Key Responsibilities:
Patrol hospital premises and monitor security cameras to detect suspicious activities.
Respond promptly to security incidents and emergencies, including theft, assault, and medical emergencies.
Control access to restricted areas and ensure a secure environment for all hospital occupants.
Report incidents, accidents, and hazards to the appropriate authorities.
Enforce hospital policies and procedures, including parking regulations and smoking policies.
About You:
Applicants must have the right to work in the UK
Previous experience in a security role, ideally within a hospital or healthcare setting.
Valid SIA license.
Driving License as will be covering both Scarborough & York.
Proficient in both spoken and written English.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Ability to stay calm and composed in stressful situations.
