Overview
Our client is a growing indie studio who have been working on an exciting title which has recently in early access. They are a community driven studio who develop games with the community in mind, incorporating community feedback into their title heavily to craft an immersive game. They are now currently on the hunt for a Release Manager to help manage the release of their upcoming project, providing support for patches and game submission.
Responsibilities:
In this role, your responsibilities will include refining and optimizing our existing Release Management process to facilitate the transition from PC Early Access to Cross-Platform Open Beta later this year.
You will take charge of the release scheduling, coordination, and certification processes essential for delivering regular updates of our product, Predecessor.
Collaborating with Build Engineers, you’ll ensure the maintenance of a robust build pipeline that supports continuous integration and testing.
Additionally, you will be tasked with monitoring critical player issues post-release, collaborating closely with diverse teams to identify, escalate, and resolve the most impactful cases.
Serving as a crucial point of contact for Sony and Microsoft, you will address and resolve issues raised during development.
Skills required:
Previous experience in Release Management and/or Live Production, preferably on a product with regular content and feature deliveries.
The ability to contextualize individual issues within the broader business and player impact, prioritizing and triaging effectively against other goals.
Familiarity with common CI/CD tooling and practices.
Experience with PlayStation and Xbox certification and patch delivery processes.
A solid technical foundation with the capacity to rapidly acquire knowledge in new subject areas.
Strong problem-solving and communication skills, coupled with the ability to thrive in a remote team environment.
