Job DescriptionOverviewDo you have excellent clinical diagnostic and interpersonal skills?Are you motivated to achieve great outcomes for Podiatry patients in Singapore?If so then come and join our team.An excellent opportunity is available for an enthusiastic, flexible and motivated podiatrist to join our committed and progressive Podiatry team. We have a position available for Podiatrist and Senior Podiatrist. Excellent time management, communication and organisational skills are essential. New graduates will rotate through all sub-specialties of Podiatry providing input into various multidisciplinary teams and managing a variety of foot problems arising from Diabetes, Vascular, Rheumatological, Dermatological and Musculoskeletal conditions. Training will be given, and an assigned mentor will guide you through a six-month competency development programme.You will be able to demonstrate empathy, resilience, a methodical approach and an aptitude for problem solving using your own initiative.You will (assist in) the triage of urgent and high-risk referrals from hospital based Medical and Surgical teams as well as referrals from community based medical practitioners.You will also be involved in nail surgery, prevention clinics as well as mentoring students. There will be opportunity for specialist training in shockwave therapy, negative pressure wound therapy, compression bandaging, maggot debridement therapy and ultrasonic debridement therapy.Part of the role will be providing input into the education of other health care professionals on high-risk foot and other foot conditions.You will be expected to take an active part in Professional Development and Clinical Supervision, developing yourself, along with others in the team, including students. The role is based within National University Hospital which is in the Western Cluster of Singapore.The ChallengesTo assess and diagnose patients with a diverse range of medical and podiatric conditions, using appropriate diagnostic techniques, skills and tools.Report to and liaise with referring doctor and other members of the multidisciplinary team.Document patient podiatry notes clearly, accurately and in a timely manner.Charge patients accurately.Perform assessment and registration of new patients.Comply with clinical standard operating procedures.Comply with department policies in clinical governance, health and safety and infection control.Supervise Therapy Assistants and students in Podiatry.Practice within area of professional and clinical competence and seek support from supervisor / other healthcare professionals when appropriate.RequirementsA recognised Degree in PodiatrySelf-motivated with strong problem-solving skillsPositive and collaborativeStrong interpersonal and communication skillsNew graduates welcome to applyWe regret that only shortlisted candidates will be notified.
