With a robust Project Management Office (PMO) overseeing strategic initiatives, they are now seeking a Regulatory Reporting Business Analyst to join their dynamic team.Role Overview: Our client is in search of a talented Regulatory Reporting Business Analyst to play a pivotal role within their PMO. The position involves business analysis for regulatory reporting, kicking off the firm's Canadian Reporting project. Key responsibilities include eliciting, documenting, and explaining business requirements, producing Functional Specification artefacts, conducting root-cause analysis, and testing software changes for fit-for-purpose IT solutions.Joining this esteemed global team provides a unique opportunity to contribute to regulatory compliance in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. If you are a proactive, effective communicator with a strong analytical mindset, we invite you to apply and be a key player in shaping the future of regulatory reporting within this renowned commodities firm.Key Responsibilities:Conduct business analysis for regulatory reporting across Energy (Oil, Gas, Power, Emissions, Coal) and Metals.Collaborate closely with business stakeholders and project colleagues for comprehensive business requirements documentation.Produce Functional Specification artefacts for the Regulatory Reporting Team and Regulatory Compliance.Conduct root-cause analysis of identified issues and ensure thorough testing of software changes for optimal IT solutions.Document source to output data mappings for regulatory reporting submissions.Lead workshops, create UAT strategy documents, and script preparations.Accountabilities:Perform root cause analysis of Trade, Position & Valuation Reporting issues.Own requirements for the reporting reconciliation tool.Analyse data gathering, eligibility rules, data mapping, report generation, and submissions to Trade Repositories (TR).Deliver SDLC artefacts in a structured, coherent manner.Oversee and drive sign-off for documentation, specifications, and artefacts for relevant project phases.Skills & Experience: EssentialIn-depth understanding of transaction reporting requirements (EMIR, Dodd-Frank, MiFID or Canadian Reporting).Demonstrable experience as a Business Analyst in regulatory change projects within Commodities or Financial Services.Exposure to Front-to-Back trade lifecycle, with knowledge of traded derivative products for ETD and OTC.Proven ability to own and drive Business Requirements, Functional Specification documentation.Understanding of the IT project lifecycle (Waterfall methodology, Agile).Significant experience collaborating with IT Development teams.Proficiency in SQL and MS Excel for effective data analysis.
