Role Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Regulatory Compliance Officer with a focus on Consumer Duty to join our client's dynamic team in their London office. This role demands a proactive and knowledgeable professional who can swiftly adapt to a new environment and contribute to the company’s compliance framework.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure compliance with UK regulations for payment and financial services, specifically focusing on Consumer Duty requirements.
Develop, implement, and monitor compliance policies and procedures to ensure the company’s operations align with regulatory standards.
Conduct regular compliance audits and risk assessments, identifying and addressing potential compliance issues.
Collaborate with various departments to provide guidance on regulatory matters and ensure that all business activities comply with relevant laws and regulations.
Stay up-to-date with changes in regulatory requirements and advise the management team on necessary adjustments to compliance practices.
Prepare and submit regulatory reports as required by law.
Provide training and support to staff on compliance-related matters, fostering a culture of compliance within the organisation.
Ideal Candidate:
Comprehensive understanding of UK regulations for payment and financial services, with a particular focus on Consumer Duty.
Proven ability to hit the ground running and quickly integrate into a new work environment.
Demonstrates smart working practices, with excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
Basic IT skills, including proficiency with compliance management software and standard office applications.
Qualifications and Experience:
Previous experience in a compliance role within the financial services or fintech industry.
In-depth knowledge of UK regulatory frameworks, particularly those pertaining to payments and remittances.
Relevant certifications in compliance or regulatory affairs are highly desirable.
