Registered Veterinary Nurse

We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team in Fareham Park Gate. About us:We are an established practice which celebrated its 20th year in 2020 and are part of a family of Companion Care and Vets4Pets surgeries across the Solent (5 branches in total). We are a friendly, small animal first opinion practice and our team consists of 4 veterinary surgeons with varying levels of experience who are supported by seven registered veterinary nurses, two student veterinary nurses, two veterinary care assistant, seven receptionists, and our practice manager.
Our practice is built to industry leading standards and includes standard and dental digital radiography, ultrasonography, endoscopy, four consulting rooms, individual cat and dog wards, isolation room and an onsite operating theatre.The ideal candidate must:Have a minimum of 3 years in practice experienceHave excellent customer care, communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skillsBe computer literateBe able to work under pressure, solve problems and work independentlyBe self-motivated and hardworkingDuties & Responsibilities include: Admissions and dischargesMonitoring opsIn patient careDelivering clinics (on weight, dental care, puppy and kitten care and diabetes) ConsultingMeasuring blood pressureBlood samplingSupporting vetsPharmacy workClinical coach training will be provided to support regular student placementsHoursThe position is based on an average 40-hour week with a 1 in 4 weekend shift pattern.
