Are you looking for a hands-on role which includes further developing our nurse clinics and carrying out Schedule 3 procedures where possible? Our Warrington Latchford practice is locally owned by Iain Mottram who has a dedicated team to providing superb standards of client and animal care.
We are able to offer a working environment that is bright, spacious and air-conditioned. The practice is purpose built to industry leading standards and has state of the art equipment including new investment in a dental x-ray machine.
Are you looking to expand your skills?Our ideal candidate would be forward-thinking and adaptable and looking to develop their skills or interests in a particular aspect of nursing. We aim to encourage this development in any way that we can and have the flexibility to adapt the way we work in order to provide this support. We have a certificate holder in Advanced Veterinary Practice with a focus on Dermatology and our Head Nurse previously completed her DipAVN course and is now working towards a physiotherapy course. We encourage CPD wherever possible and set aside a large budget to develop our teams' skills and abilities. The role is ideally full-time working between 34-39 hours per week but we are flexible.
This will include working 1 in 3 Saturdays on a rota basis, however there will be no Sundays or OOH. Some of your key responsibilities will include - •
Working closely with the clinical and non-clinical teams to deliver the best levels of patient and customer care, taking full ownership of tasks and responsibilities.•
Manage and deal with bookings professionally and efficiently.•
Greet clients and their pets for appointments, being sensitive to their requirements and promoting a professional image at all times.•
Comply with all policies and procedures within the surgery, including Health and Safety Regulations•
Calculate and administer medications and keeping accurate records.•
Assist the Veterinary Surgeon during surgical procedures.•
Prepare, identify, and record results from radiography equipment.•
Conducting nurse clinics•
