Parenting Assessment Centre Manager - Lancashire
Do you have a passion for safeguarding children and a proven track record in social work leadership?
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Registered Manager to lead a vibrant Parenting Assessment Centre (PAC) in Lancashire.
About the Role:
In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for the overall management and strategic direction of the PAC. You will lead a dedicated team of social worker and family support workers and ensure the smooth running of assessments for families going through child protection proceedings.
Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Overseeing the delivery of high-quality parenting assessments in line with national standards.
  • Leading and motivating a team of social workers, providing support and ensuring their professional development.
  • Ensuring the Centre operates effectively and efficiently, within budget constraints.
  • Upholding robust safeguarding procedures and promoting a positive safeguarding culture.
  • Representing the Centre at meetings with external agencies.
  • Contributing to the development and implementation of service improvement initiatives.


About You:

  • You are a qualified and registered Social Worker with Social Work England (SWE).
  • You have a minimum of 3 years' experience in a senior social work management role, ideally within a residential setting.
  • You possess a strong understanding of parenting assessments and relevant legislation.
  • You are a confident and effective leader with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • You are passionate about safeguarding children and young people.
  • You are a strong advocate for social justice and equality.
  • You are a Registered Manager (RM) with demonstrable experience in managing staff and resources.
