CSH are looking for a compassionate and skilled nurse to join our innovative team at Manor Mead Special School.



This position offers the chance to significantly impact the lives of pupils aged 2-11 years with severe learning disabilities and additional health needs.



As a vital member of our small nursing team, you'll work closely with educational staff to ensure that children and young people can safely attend school, regardless of their additional health needs. Key Responsibilities:




  • Responding to medical emergencies

  • Training educational staff in nursing procedures (e.g., gastrostomy, seizure management, ventilation)

  • Medication management

  • Attending multi-agency meetings, care planning, report writing, and nurse-led clinics

  • Participation in clinical and safeguarding supervision, auditing, and EHCP meetings



About You:




  • A clear understanding of community health services

  • Minimum of 1 year post-registration experience with children or�learning disability

  • Evidence of Professional Development and participation in Clinical Audit

  • Team player, innovative, assertive, and able to work well in stressful situations

  • Car driver with a good understanding of current nursing workforce issues



Desirable:




  • Experience in tracheostomy ventilation, gastrostomy care, epilepsy

  • Mentorship preparation and management/leadership qualifications

  • Experience working in a community health setting
