Registered Nurse - Private Hospital


  • Location: Outskirts of Watford  
  • Position: Pre- Operative Assessment Nurse

  • Salary: £30,000 - £38,000 per annum - negotiable depending on experience
  • Hours: Full time 37.5 - Monday- Friday- NO NIGHTS / WEEKENDS

About the role:
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a motivated Pre-Operative Assessment Nurse to join a highly reputable private healthcare provider within their private hospital on the outskirts of Watford. The service is ideally situated close to Luton and Watford and is within easy reach of public transport links. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic Pre- Operative Assessment Nurse to work within their friendly and welcoming team. The team are passionate about person centred care and put their patients at the heart of everything they do and looking for a like-minded Pre-Operative Assessment Nurse to join them.
Duties and responsibilities
You will be working as a Pre-Operative Assessment Nurse and will be responsible for:


  • Undertake electronic pre-operative assessment of patients
  • Support in assessing patients health and well being across a complex and changing caseload
  • Identify and escalate patients of concern to senior nursing staff
  • Full patient health assessment and triage their pre-operative assessment requirements
  • Provide and receive complex and sensitive information

Who we're looking for


  • Be NMC registered with no restrictions on practice
  • Eligible to work in the UK
  • At least 1 years experience working in an acute environment
  • Pre-Operative Assessment experience is highly desirable
  • Phlebotomy, venepuncture and ECG skills desirable
  • Advanced IT skills for electronic pre-operative assessment system
