Registered Nurse - Burns and Plastics Location:North BristolPosition:Registered Nurse - Burns and Plastics Service:General HospitalCare:Burns and Plastics Salary:£28,400 - £34,500 ( band 5 ) - depending on experienceHours:Full time or part time hours availableContract type:PermanentAbout the role: An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Registered Nurse to work in the Burns and Plastics Surgery team within a highly reputable hospital based in North Bristol. The hospital is bright and modern and boasts the most state-of-the-art facilities. It is ideally situated in North Bristol and is within easy reach of public transport links, local shops and amenities. This role is for a Registered Nurse to join the Burns and Plastics Surgery team, who are passionate about providing high-quality person-centred care. They are a regional burns unit and the major trauma centre for plastic and reconstructive surgery for the Southwest of England. This is a great opportunity for an experienced Registered Nurse to work within a challenging and varied role.
You will be working as Registered Nurse in Burns and Plastics Surgery Team and responsible for the following duties;Caring for patients who have underdone emergency or elective reconstructive surgery Work across a variety of surgeries for trauma related injuries, cancer, burns and other minor/ major injuries Responsible for coordinating and providing complete care to allocated patients Participating in or carrying out small to complex dressing changes in wound managementWorking closely with Therapist, Psychologist, Doctors and speciality Nurses Supporting junior members of the team Supporting patients and their families Working in the adult burns clinic Who we're looking forBe NMC registered - your pin must not have any restrictions or conditionsEligibility to live and work in the UKAt least 1 years UK experience in a similar setting is highly desirableSound clinical skills such as IV drug administration/cannulation & venepuncture/male catheterisation/training to monitor and change syringes for epidural & PCA syringe drivers.
