A great new job opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Registered Mental Health Nurse - PICU to work in a spectacular hospital based in Cheadle, Greater Manchester area. Your will be working for one of UK's leading health care providersThis special hospital offers a comprehensive inpatient specialist mental health service for young people and adults. The service is dedicated to providing innovative, high quality care and treatment for patients with challenging and complex needs, in order to enable their recovery and re-engagement with the community**To be considered for this role you must be qualified as a Registered Mental Nurse with a current active NMC Pin**As a Nurse your key duties include:Deliver prescribed care to a defined group of patients that reflect their individual needsAssess, plan and deliver, with the patient and their carer/family, nursing care which takes account of patient choice and wishes and acting as the patients named nurse. This includes the evaluation and review of these plans, with the patient/Service User, on a frequent basis, that is reflective of their needsAccurately communicate with, observe and engage with Service Users in order to assess need and evaluate progress.Understand and participate in relevant quality improvement processes and clinical governanceProvide accurate information about care in an accessible format to residents/service Users and their familiesAct as the Nurse in charge of the Ward ensuring as far as reasonable a practicable a safe environment.Complete notes and incident reportsEscalate concerns appropriately regarding resident/service user well-being, incidents or staffing concerns in a timely mannerSupport new/junior/agency staff as required supporting colleagues to complete induction, and deliver person centred care to the standards requiredThe following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:Knowledge of NMC standards guidelines, requests and professional practicesDemonstrates a positive attitude and commitment to change, improvement and qualityAbility to develop and use flexible and innovative approaches to practiseExcellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills, IT literateThe successful Nurse will be offered an excellent annual salary of £34,900 - £37,227 per annum DOE.
