Registered Manager - Trowbridge Area

Company Profile

On behalf of our client, a reputable provider of children's residential services, we are seeking an experienced and passionate Registered Manager. The home will accommodate four young people aged 7 to 17 years old, all of whom have emotional and behavioral difficulties stemming from adverse childhood experiences. Our client is committed to supporting these children through therapeutic parenting techniques to help secure better life outcomes. They have partnered with Wiltshire Council with the aim of bringing children back to their local area. The home is a large property with excellent outdoor space and access to the local community and amenities.



Job Profile

The successful Registered Manager will play a key role in the establishment and management of this new home. This position requires someone with a strong background in residential childcare and proven experience in managing similar services. The Registered Manager will be responsible for leading the team, ensuring high standards of care, and working towards achieving a positive Ofsted rating. Responsibilities




  • Oversee the day-to-day management of the home, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.

  • Develop and implement individualized care plans for each child.

  • Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of care staff, ensuring high standards of care and support are maintained.

  • Prepare for and manage the Ofsted registration process.

  • Liaise with external agencies, families, and other stakeholders to ensure cohesive care planning and delivery.

  • Manage budgets and resources effectively to ensure the home operates efficiently.



Skills/Experience




  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a management role within a residential childcare setting.

  • Strong understanding of emotional and behavioral difficulties (EBD) and best practices in supporting children with these needs.

  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.

  • Ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with children, staff, families, and external agencies.

  • Relevant qualifications in childcare or social work (Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare or equivalent preferred).



Hours




  • Full-time, 40 hours per week (flexible working arrangements can be agreed).



Package




  • Competitive salary of �50,000 per annum.

  • Bonus structure.

  • 20 days plus bank holidays.
