Registered Manager | Scarisbrick | Full Time – 40 hours per week plus on call | £50,000-£55,000

As a Registered Manager, you will play a pivotal role in leading the team at a 3 bedroom children’s Home in Scarisbrick and maintain the highest standards of care, compliance, and quality.

Are you the right person for the job?


  • QCF Level 3 in Residential Childcare / Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young People’s Workforce
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People’s Services (children and young people’s residential management pathway) or willingness to work towards
  • Experience at Manager/Deputy level in children's residential homes
  • Enhanced Disclosure check required
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Relevant experience in residential care management preferred

What will your role look like?

Safeguarding:


  • Act as the Designated Safeguarding Lead, coordinating child protection actions within the home
  • Undertake risk assessments and promote a culture of openness for reporting concerns
  • Collaborate with relevant professionals and agencies in safeguarding initiatives

Meeting Children's Needs:


  • Develop and review individual care plans for each child
  • Implement high-quality care standards and involve children in decision-making
  • Work in partnership with parents, carers, and professionals to safeguard children's welfare

Developing Staff Team:


  • Recruit and retain staff in line with safer recruitment principles
  • Provide induction, supervision, and professional development opportunities
  • Foster a positive work environment and address performance issues effectively

Effective Communication & Resource Allocation:


  • Contribute to company development through effective communication and resource management
  • Manage staffing levels, budgets, and maintenance of premises and vehicles
  • Ensure compliance with safety and security regulations

Promoting Efficient Home Operations:


  • Establish routines and prioritise tasks to maintain a clean and orderly environment
  • Implement reporting systems for compliance and provide management information as required
  • Maintain confidentiality and GDPR compliance

General:


  • Participate in relevant training and maintain up-to-date knowledge of statutory frameworks
  • Prepare high-quality written reports for stakeholders
  • Be willing to work unsociable hours when necessary and undertake additional managerial duties
