Registered Domiciliary Care Manager ( Part Time initially )

We are delighted to be working on behalf of a luxury and high-end retirement village to help them secure an initially part time, and permanent Registered Domiciliary Care Manager to support and manage their care teams within a brand new facility.



Our client specialises in creating beautiful, innovative, and contemporary environments for residents to live life to the full, with a wide range of leisure activities, services, support and care. They promote well-being whilst helping residents maintain an active and independent lifestyle.



Facilities include a wellbeing centre (pool, steam room and sauna), gym, dance studio, bistro, coffee shop and bar, and a hair and beauty salon.



You will be responsible for the provision of a high-end domiciliary care service to wealthy residents living in a safe and secure village community set in leafy countryside 1.5 miles outside of Chertsey. The residents live among fully manicured gardens with an outside terrace off the bar and bistro. There is direct convenient pedestrian access to the neighbouring Park which offers 23 hectares of nature trails and pathways suitable for wheelchairs.



The role is a permanent position, and will initially suit part-time flexibility, with the intention of becoming full-time as the development increases.





Key Responsibilities:




  • To ensure the services delivered are safe, meet legal/regulatory CQC requirements, and the organisations policy and practice standards.

  • The implementation and management of quality control systems including, quality audits, complaints, compliments and comments, inspections and customer feedback.

  • Undertake and monitor assessments for new clients and review those for existing clients.

  • Establish and maintain all records required for the protection of clients and the effective running of the service including care planning, billing, risk assessments, H&S.

  • Continually evaluate and develop the service to achieve the highest quality, customer satisfaction and CQC recognition.

  • Attract, retain and lead a high performing team of carers.

  • To manage and lead the team and ensure they deliver a high quality, responsive and flexible service.

  • To build and maintain effective relationships with residents and family members.

  • To empower team to develop personal and professional skill sets.

  • To oversee the recruitment, induction and training of team, working with team leaders to develop their skills.

  • To plan staff resource to ensure demands of the business are met.

  • Undertake effective and regular one to one’s, appraisals and team meetings, whilst supporting the team leaders to do the same.

  • Ensure the team works flexibly and supports other teams and services across the village as necessary.

  • Create and administer weekly care rotas and plans ensuring there are no gaps in service delivery.

  • Promote and market the service to potential clients ensuring on-going growth of service is achieved.

  • Support the sales and marketing team in promoting the village and services to potential customers and their families, friends and advocates.

  • Manage all regulated activity in line with duties as Registered Manager, maintaining relationship with CQC.

  • Work at a strategic level as a member of the Senior Leadership team, contributing to the effective operation and management of the village.





Required Skills:





A NVQ Level 5, RMA in health and Social Care or equivalent is desirable.



A willingness to undertake NVQ Level 5, RMA.



Show evidence of personal development.



Excellent IT skills including Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)



5 years experience of working in a home care setting.



Experience with managing and leading a team.



Experience with meeting financial and regulatory requirements ( ie  CQC )



Experience of working at a strategic level as part of a wider leadership team.



Experience with building relationships with clients and their advocates, families and friends.



Experience with working with other health and care professionals.



Experience with Data protection and its principles.



Knowledge of regulatory responsibilities within the care sector.



Excellent written, verbal and electronic communication skills.



Management and leadership skills.



Ability to work on own or as part of a team.



Analytical with the ability to see the bigger picture.



Ability to deal with conflict appropriately.
