Registered Deputy Ward Manager - RMN/RNLD

Location: County Durham, United Kingdom

Salary: Up to £44,648 DOE + £5000 Welcome Bonus

We are currently seeking a Registered Deputy Ward Manager to join our purpose-built facility in Darlington, providing acute adult mental health services.

Responsibilities:


  • Work with the Ward Manager in the delivery of excellent care and the ongoing development and improvement of the ward.
  • Ensuring that the ward team possesses the skills, knowledge and motivation to deliver the highest quality of care to service users with complex mental health conditions who require stabilisation in a safe and secure environment.
  • Ensuring that they and the team uphold MHA and MCA standards and work to uphold the NMC's code of practice
  • Ensuring all relevant policies are in place, reviewed and updated as and when necessary in liaison with the Ward Manager and multidisciplinary team
  • As well as clinical duties, the appointed person will be expected to deputise in the Ward Manager's absence

Requirements:


  • A relevant nursing qualification (RMN or RNLD) and current NMC registration,
  • Relevant experience demonstrating your expertise and commitment to the field.
  • Noticeable leadership skills along with a strong drive to develop other members of the team and themselves.
  • Exceptional teamwork skills, coupled with self-motivation and adaptability to thrive in our 24/7 operational environment, which includes weekends, holidays, and night shifts.
  • A deep-seated dedication to patient-centred care and adherence to evidence-based practice, ensuring the highest standards of service delivery.
