Job Title: Registered Manager Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Working Pattern: 8 hour shifts, Mon-Fri. Location: Castleford, West Yorkshire
Company Overview: Our client is a leading residential childcare provider dedicated to offering nurturing environments for young people aged 8 to 18. With a mission to provide high-quality care and support to children who have faced adversity and trauma in their lives, they are embarking on an exciting phase, opening two new two-bed homes. They are seeking two experienced Deputy Managers ready to step up and become Registered Managers.
Position Summary: As a Registered Manager, you will oversee the smooth operation of a two-bed Residential Childrens Home, ensuring compliance with Childrens Homes Regulations, Quality Standards, Ofsted, and other statutory requirements. You will lead a team to provide exceptional care, promote wellbeing, and safeguard young people under their care. Additionally, you will foster professional development within your team and maintain high standards of care delivery.
Responsibilities:
Ensure the provision of high-quality care in accordance with regulatory standards
Lead and supervise the care team, fostering professional development and progression
Promote the wellbeing and safeguarding of young people
Ensure compliance with Childrens Homes Regulations, Quality Standards, and Ofsted requirements
Oversee the smooth operation of the Residential Childrens Home
Requirements:
Passion for working with young people and improving their lives
Strong leadership skills within a Childrens Residential Care setting
Minimum of 2 years' previous supervisory experience
Level 5 diploma in Leadership and Management or equivalent (or working towards it)
Successful registration process with Ofsted
Full UK driving license
Salary & Benefits:
Starting salary: £43,500 per annum (rising to £47,000 when the home is Registered and fully operational)
After 12 months, subject to successful annual appraisal: £50,000 per annum
Annual bonus of up to £3,000, criteria dependent
Additional £1,000 for an Outstanding Ofsted Inspection
