Your objectives will be spread across those two areas to give you a real in-depth understanding of what it means to work in IT. You’ll be there to support, maintain and even develop our systems, ensuring compliance with all internal and external guidelines and regulations. As an NIT IP you’ll be responsible for providing first and second line support alongside incident co-ordination for all applications within the Finance and Administration area.In addition, you’ll carry out tasks around request and release management and knowledge management. You’ll get stuck in with projects to improve our software in line with business demand, helping manage those End to End. Many of the opportunities available will depend on the business needs at the time. And, trust us, there’s always plenty going on at Aldi - our business is constantly growing and developing.We’ll invest real time in you, and, by the end of the year, we want you to have delivered something tangible for Aldi.Responsibilities would include but not be limited to:First and second level support to National Finance and Administration TeamsIncident and Request Coordination for applications within the area of responsibilityEscalation of issues to internal support functions and direct leader, or to the International IT department when necessaryEnd-to-end ownership of project deliveryResponsible for creating and managing (monitoring, review and amending timelines) project plansRisk and Issue Management to identify and mitigate and resolve risks and issuesMaintaining an appropriate incident logMaintaining an understanding of the user requirements and open issues for areas of responsibilityTesting software to verify whether newly implemented requirements and existing functionality operate without errorsCreating plans for software installations and maintenance programmes in conjunction with International IT Teams, national stakeholders and external suppliers as neededSupporting with administration tasks such as maintaining invoice and budget trackersParticipating and supporting project activitiesPlease note that our Placement Programmes are for university students currently studying towards an undergraduate degree, who are seeking a 12-month sandwich placement before their final year of study.You’ll need to be working towards a 2:1 degree, have 96 UCAS points from your top 3 A-Levels (or equivalent qualifications), possess a driving licence and have the right to work in the UK.Benefits:Competitive Salary: £26,000 salaryHoliday Allowance: With four weeks' holiday allowance, plus bank holidays, you'll be able to put your feet up and come back raring to go.Future Opportunities: If, after graduating, you’re considering Aldi as a career choice – and you performed well on the placement – chances are you’ll be invited to apply for a permanent position.
