Regional Manager



Unique multi-faceted F & B, Leisure Cinema & hospitality venues



LOCATION: Ideally based close to Notts/Derby but happy to commute further North & South with occasional trips to Scotland.



SALARY: £55,000 plus 5k car allowance, expenses,  mileage & various other benefits plus future bonus and career proogression as the company continues its success & growth





My client is a highly successful creator & operator of unique multi-faceted forward-thinking hospitality and leisure operations in both the UK and beyond.



Due to increased expansion plans and the growth of the existing business they are looking for a Regional Manager to look after the UK business and planned new openings later this year and beyond.



With superb facilities & a real quality social feel, the operations are at the heart of the communities in which they based & provide an amazing experience their customers.





The Business:



In terms of Head Office – there is a small team with a Head of Operations across the rest of the business, someone who looks after policies, procedures & standards as well as a UK based Marketing Manager based in the Midlands.



Currently their venues are based around the Midlands/North with a small group of operations in this area as well as a site in Scotland & there are 3 fantastic new venues opening in 2024 and 2025.



Due to the location of the current venues, the role would suit someone based in the Midlands or South Yorkshire or the North West. The successful candidate must be prepared to travel where necessary and also be prepared to be away from home on the occasional evening or two as the company have sites in the Midlands. NW. East Anglia, Yorkshire & and Scotland. The successful candidate will have an Assistant reporting into them who can assist in some of the travelling.







The Role, the Company & Teams:



The role itself will take the operational lead and oversee the running of the sites on the mainland UK, supervising the managers and handling any employee issues, performing weekly zoom meetings with the GMs and working with marketing, promotions and events to work a plan of action for each site.



The company don’t open in major cities and don’t really open in cities & their focus is to try to give people great facilities and city standards within a town setting and they are very personable, and friendly and always try to ensure that customers are greeted with style and have a great guest experience. The also work with the local communities and support local businesses, schools and hold film festivals etc. They want people to really enjoy being in those 4 walls when they come into the venue – like when you go to watch your favourite sports team etc. Although they are profit-driven, they are not commercial in the whole right, but obviously in the long-term focus is to make money on their investment.





Each operation is refurbished to the highest level with luxury facilities & the whole team is committed & very collaborative



They are non-formal and they are not hierarchical – every idea is looked at and considered rather than someone on the ground telling everyone what to do so are looking for an entrepreneurial regional manager with a strong background in hospitality who is looking to do something different & use their previous experience to the full.



The venues have a small F & B offering of light bites and alcoholic drinks and everything is of the highest quality and service is great.





The role will cover 5 sites with 2 or 3 new openings in the next 12 months. The role will offer a strong work/life balance different to working within a hospitality environment. Although it’s not really a Monday-Friday 9-5pm role it has much better hours and the Regional Manager will only work the occasional Saturday and the work/life balance is much better.



The company is a small growing business and this is a fantastic opportunity for someone to really make the role their own and be involved in really developing the business as it grows.



Financially, the company are very strong & are have a great appetite to for expand and if something makes sense they will do it. There are no constraints so if an opportunity is suitable they will do it, but are not defined by a number in terms of how many sites they are looking to open and they won’t be capped on this – they want expansion & will continue to do so if the opportunity is right.







The Role:



The successful Regional Manager will be involved in:



· Developing the P & Ps



· Stocktaking



· Overseeing the operating system & contributing to improvement of current systems in place as well as implementing a planned new system



· Leading the business



· Focusing on product, marketing, operations and collaborating to drive the business forward.





What we are looking for:





· Previous experience working at least to Area Management level



· A strong hospitality background – restaurants, bars, hotels etc as the focus is providing an outstanding experience for customers with the kind of service they would get in a hospitality venue



· Some experience of cinema or experiential leisure would be a benefit, but the successful candidate must have a strong hospitality background & looking to take a Regional role within a unique business.



· A Regional Manager who is entrepreneurial & completely customer-focused & looking to work with the local communities they are based in. Although they like candidates with a good mix of both commercial and independent experience, the successful candidate must be happy to work in an environment that is not overly rigid & structured as the main focus is the customer. The operations are really part of the community that their based in and things are centred around the neighbourhood develop strong relationships.



· The successful candidate will have strong experience of cash/stock management, detail and process, people management, putting together a team, help to grow the team and business, manage various situations, someone who is commercial (looking at current suppliers & purchasing etc) and who can drive the business forward.



· The desire to work for a fantastic operator who gives you the autonomy to get on with things & run the business with any support needed & is looking for a trustworthy, experienced Regional Manager & this is a great opportunity for the right candidate to become an integral part of the team and to really establish themselves.







SALARY & PACKAGE: This is an amazing opportunity and the company are happy to invest in the right person with a basic of around 55k with some flexibility for the right candidate. There is also a 5k car allowance & mileage & expenses covered as well as other excellent benefits, career progression & future bonus as the company contnues to grow.
