Title: Regional Manager
Location: Sevenoaks
Salary: Up to £60k + Bonus + Car
Role: Permanent

As a Regional Manager you will develop, coach and nurture a team of customer focussed professionals that are passionate about service and deliver the best customer experience in every interaction.  You will lead from the front, be ever present on the shopfloor with colleagues and customers, role modelling what great service looks like and how to deliver great retail standards. 
You will be focused on developing the best talent in the region, getting the most out of every individual through personal coaching and by developing a culture of praise and recognition for a job well done. 
You will know everything there is to know about commerciality, maximising profit, minimising loss and delivering retail basics however do so through a service first culture and lead teams with confidence, fun, togetherness and a smile.
IDEAL CANDIDATE
  • Authentic open leadership style, able to give a clear vision and set expectations to their team and create shared, and agreed goals and objectives
  • Demonstrates urgency when they identify a need for change and can demonstrate how they engage their people in change decisions to work together and deliver at pace
  • Is able to remove barriers to achieving customer satisfaction and ultimately sales success
  • Experience of managing an area/region/large team of managers in a service focussed arena with demonstrable customer service improvements and success
  • Can demonstrate how they have built and coached high performing teams
  • Ability to analyse business data to identify skill/coaching opportunities to improve results
  • Able to spot talent at all levels and instinctively know how to nurture and develop this into something positive for the employee and business
  • Can evidence motivating teams through internal competition and has used this to encourage a performance culture
  • Ensures that people demonstrate the right behaviours and live the company values in all roles across their region
  • Uses teams around them to problem solve and create buy-in to implementing change
  • Honest, authentic and transparent with communication at all levels
  • Customer obsessed, an absolute champion of the customer journey and role models this in everything they do
  • Natural coach, always looking for opportunities to develop every member of their team
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Ensure service is the number one focus for every member of the team in the region and that the customer journey is the single most important deliverable for all employees at all times
  • To shape and take ownership for their own business plan based on the wider retail plan and cascade and create buy-in from the whole region to deliver this
  • Accountable for the recruitment, training, development and engagement of the management teams across the region and all team members through their management teams to ensure all people in the region are set up for success
  • Takes ownership for their regional succession plan and has a clear plan of development and coaching support for each of their branches
  • Lead by example, walking the floor providing consistent visible leadership and demonstrating outstanding customer service to their team to develop a high performing service culture in the region
  • Ensure engaging methods of communication are in place with store teams, limiting email usage, focussing on interactive methods of technology to communicate, recognise and reward success and encourage teams to engage and present their achievements and how they intend to deliver their part of the regional plan
  • Empower Store Managers to take ownership of local decisions to do what it takes to satisfy customers and ensure that they are engaging and working with their local community to build relationships and drive local marketing opportunities
  • Ensure performance matters are tackled in a timely and consistent manner
