Position Overview:
As the Regional Health and Safety Manager, you will lead the health and safety efforts for our major construction projects in the Worcestershire and South-west region. Working closely with project stakeholders, you will develop, implement, and monitor robust health and safety strategies and programs, ensuring compliance with UK regulations and industry standards while fostering a positive and safety-conscious work environment.
A dynamic and collaborative work environment with a strong emphasis on health and safety excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement comprehensive health and safety policies, procedures, and programs tailored to the requirements of the projects
Collaborating with project teams to develop and implement effective control measures to mitigate risks and enhance the safety of our workforce.
Oversee the investigation of incidents, accidents, and near misses
Liaise with project stakeholders, including regulatory authorities and subcontractors to promote a culture of health and safety excellence and to address any related concerns or issues.
Stay abreast of emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in health and safety management, incorporating relevant advancements into our project strategies and programs.
Qualifications:
Diploma level safety qualification
Chartered Membership of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (CMIOSH) or CertIOSH and working towards
Proven regional managerial experience in health and safety management
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels to drive a positive safety culture.
A track record of understanding in high-rise construction projects
Happy travelling with occasional overnight stays.
