Regional General ManagerRequisition Id:Business Unit: XPOE TransportLocation:Holywell, GB, CH8 7GLOur business is growing, and we are calling all high achieving managers; if you have a solid transport background, experience in managing multiple sites, a good understanding of operational cost, strong leadership and are people focused - we want to hear from you!We are currently recruiting for a Regional General Manager basedin the North West; you will be covering multiple sites and be responsible for leading the transport function. Everything from leading and developing large teams to regular interaction with your customers. We need commercially astute, dynamic leaders who want to be part of a growing business.Pay, Benefits and more:We are looking to offer a salary of up to £75,000 + company car/allowance. You will have access to private medical cover, a variety of high street discounts, as well as a cycle to work scheme, a workplace pension, a wellbeing offering anda range of other benefits – ask us about this!What you’ll do on a typical day:You will be accountable for the operational and financial performance of the contract across the UK.Promote a safety culture, leading by example and actively participating and supporting safety campaigns and initiatives.Provide operational leadership to the team by setting achievable goals and encouraging innovation.Develop a clear understanding of financial and operational metrics to ensure the sites deliver the right balance of cost and service.Actively champion engagement and welfare across the sites with focus on colleague retention and minimal attrition.Interaction with internal and external customers to understand their requirements and identify opportunities to expand current relationships.Ensure sites are compliant with all legislative and internal processes and procedures, taking timely and appropriate action where this is not the case.Encourage and support development and progression within the team and devise a clear succession plan across each site.Maintain a visible presence across sites, understanding the various service offerings and complexities, and developing a culture of continuous improvement.Active participation in existing daily processes including operational calls, finance reviews and QSHE meetings.What you need to succeed at XPO:Senior management experience within the transport/logistics sector.Experience in managing multiple sites.Proven capability to create high performance teams in a number of scenarios such as new business implementation and operational improvement.Ability to build strong and lasting commercial relationships.Demonstrable commercial and financial acumen.Ability to manage multiple reporting lines effectively.Ability to manage complexity and uncertainty.XPO is a leading provider of world-class solutions to the most successful companies in the world.
