Role Overview

We are currently recruiting for a Regional Director - Security  to join our passionate and driven team based in England (SG13 7EW, SW1E 6QP, SW16 5AT)

The Security Regional Director will be responsible for working with the Operations Director for driving health, safety, wellbeing, and profitability of the area of responsibility.

The successful candidates will hold and maintain positive customer relationships, support business growth, and strongly collaborate with colleagues and the operations directors to deliver a positive, proactive, and progressive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership, inspiration, guidance, and day to day management for the Regional Operations Management team.
  • Create a pipeline of opportunity for the sales team to investigate
  • Attend regular client review meetings in line with their schedule and take Operational lead as required.
  • Networking and relationship building within the London network is essential to this role
  • Be an escalation point for Regional Operations Managers.
  • Have a strong understanding of P&L’s for each of managers significant contracts and manage performance against these.
  • Understand significant contracts in ROM portfolios and support debt management and recovery against these.
  • Provide senior leadership on contract delivery and client interaction as required
  • Responsible for ensuring all company assets and equipment deployed within the region are accounted for and managed correctly
  • Attending bid presentations as required.
  • Ensure strong relationship between ROM team and control room regarding any changes to portfolios and client requirements.
  • Provide out of hours escalation support and ensure a Duty manager on call system is in place across the region
  • Understand use of sub-contractors across the region, the impact of their costs versus budget and create plans to minimise use.
  • The Regional Director will deputise for the Operations Director during holidays and at any time required.

Health & Safety Accountabilities: 

  • Communicate regularly with colleagues through formal and informal channels on safety matters to ensure that there is a free flow of ideas, and that morale remains high.
  • Ensure that the OCS safety image reflects positively through your actions and those of your colleagues.
  • Ensure that personal H&S competence and skill level is maintained i.e., attended Managing Safety programme and other Company safety events.
  • Take responsibility and ensure that all equipment is maintained and fit for purpose.
  • Ensure that work activities are effectively managed and supervised.

About You:

  • Applicants must have the right to work in the UK
  • Valid SIA licence essential
  • A Health and Safety qualification – NEBOSH/IOSH (desirable)
  • A formal change management qualification (desirable)
  • Experience of managing multi value contracts at a regional or national level
  • Experience of managing and directing large and disparate teams.
  • Significant experience working in security operational guarding.
  • Extensive experience of operating multiple ranging scale contracts on a regional level.
  • Experience within Manned Guarding Security operations across multiple locations.
  • Evidence of consistently motivating and managing teams
  • Experience in sales and supporting bid processes is essential
  • Proven client relationship and operational management of key accounts essential
  • Strong understanding and evidence of implementing best practice in health and safety and risk assessments.
  • Good commercial and financial acumen.
  • Demonstrable track record of working with a range of clients in different fields.
  • Strong understanding of key security legislative requirements including but not exclusive to licensing, vetting and BS7858.
  • Strong management skills with ability to form relationships.
  • Self-motivated and enthusiastic with good time management and leadership skills
  • Excellent Interpersonal Abilities (oral & written)
  • Ability to demonstrate strong personal integrity.
  • Excellent IT skills (Excel, Outlook/Calendar, Word etc.) is essential.
  • Strong leadership style with a focus on supporting and developing employees.
