We are currently looking for a Regional Director of Sales to join us. This is a highly visible and critical role within the retail function and this opportunity is ideal for an ambitious individual looking for a challenge in an exciting and fast paced environment. You will be a brand and cultural ambassador for Topps Group by leading, coaching and developing your team. You will take accountability for sales through operational excellence and world class in store service levels whilst delivering optimum profits through a mindset of doing what's right for the company, its colleagues and customers. A key part of this role is to be able to articulate and develop sales strategies that serve the differing needs of Retail and Trade customers. An inspirational leader and communicator, you will have exceptional coaching, motivational and relationship management skills. Equally, you will be passionate about quality and customer service with a proven track record of delivering continuous improvement. We are looking for a commercially astute and a proactive decision-maker who thrives under pressure. Leading 7 ASM's and 700 store colleagues, you must have extensive experience in a similar leadership level role.
Key Accountabilities
Customer / Strategy / Plan
Support ASM's in creating an outstanding customer proposition and instore experience Lead ASM's to deliver consistent outstanding operational standards Work collaboratively to deliver the strategic plan across all areas within remit To clearly communicate regional objectives to gain maximum contribution that will deliver regional and Company goals To develop an effective network of communication to ensure shared knowledge and understanding of business activity
People/Leadership
To inspire teams through the role modelling of expectations with a customer led approach To plan succession and development of all colleagues with the support of the HRBP and within the parameters of agreed company frameworks Recruit, train and retain great people who demonstrate the right capabilities and behaviours To create a highly engaged team that use accountability to deliver outstanding levels of performance Creates a colleague focussed environment that results in stable retention and optimal labour turnover Takes a proactive approach to on-going personal development to maximise personal growth
Financial / Commercials
Achieve agreed KPIs on a quarterly and annual basis to achieve company goals Effectively manage the P&L within allocated budget to deliver agreed AOP Has commercial awareness of competitor activity and communicates appropriately with recommendations to grow the business Continually utilises KPI data, management information and a variety of resources to identify and maximise business opportunities
Risk / Process
Role model health & safety culture, setting a standard of expectation for all colleagues, customers and visitors in stores
Ensuring security and incident management processes are followed effectively with full colleague awareness and compliance Delivery of stock control targets in line within company guidelines to prevent financial loss Focus on risk via use of scorecard to proactively mitigate risk to the business
Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required: Essential
A background in leading teams of multi site area managers across the UK An enabling leadership style with the ability to drive and motivate performance through effective coaching skills Demonstrates authentic leadership and creates an open, honest and challenging environment Leads by example and instils energy, passion and commitment Extensive experience of remote management covering broad geographic areas Proven track record exceeding sales, profit and customer service KPI's in a management role Confident communicator with strong influencing and stakeholder engagement skills, particularly when influencing peers and executive level colleagues Strong commercial awareness with the ability to interpret and manage information and data using sounds judgements Ability to identify team strengths and capitalise on them through effective coaching Strong stakeholder management building business cross functional relationships Confident decision maker with effective problem solving skills Self-driven with a desire to challenge self Highly organised with the ability to adapt quickly to change Flexible to work in alternative locations Full valid UK driving licence
