The role is accountable for the performance of a team covering a designated region. The role will drive the achievement of targets and ensure the cost efficiency of the courier network is maximised to maintain and further improve both the Company and third-party contractual standards.You will be accountable for:Responsible for regional performance targets and customer satisfaction through the guiding, coaching and managing of a team of Community Delivery Managers.Influencing the build of and responsible for the delivery and forecast of regional budget and controls (including but not limited to courier fees, contractor spend, ad-hoc payments, team expenses and over-rides) by managing cost and ensuring the team understand the financial impact of their decisions ensuring the profitable running of their region.Maximising service coverage of courier deliveries and collections within the region through the successful and timely recruitment of couriers and their engagement, retention and successful change management (where needed) to ensure a stable and consistently high-quality service is delivered for our customers and clients.Accountable for the resource planning of couriers through pipeline review, advertising and reviews with the Resource Planner to ensure round coverage is in place.Through a team of Community Delivery Managers drive courier performance to ensure the success of a seven day operationResponsible for the delivery unit estate within their region (including but not limited to the location, procurement and management of delivery units & resourcing) & management of service provision through service conversations with the delivery unit controller to ensure that Evri deliver a professional and sustainable Delivery Organisation which is focussed on quality, service and productivity.Responsible for building and maintaining a strong, productive and professional local union relationship with the GMB to ensure Evri maintains a positive relationship with the union and continues to be at the forefront of self-employed status recognition for our self-employed couriers.Through setting and implementing best practice and adherence to the Code of Conduct and SOPs ensuring that the work environment is safe for themselves and others.Building and maintaining strong relationships with their peer in the depot, namely the Depot General Manager, and key stakeholder across the organisation through effective communication skills resulting in high performance in the end to end parcel journey.Accountable for customer complaint escalation management and timely resolution to ensure customer satisfaction through liaising with the Customer Services Team and leadership of Community Delivery Managers.To be successful in this role you will require the following… Qualifications:Current UK Driving licenceLevel 3 Management Qualification or equivalentIOSH Qualification or equivalentKnowledge & Experience:Previous experience of coaching, supporting and motivating colleaguesProblem solving and planning effective contingencies and solutionsExperience of maintaining local union relationshipsPrevious experience of managing an agile teamKnowledge of self-employed courier modelPrevious experience of setting and managing a budgetTechnical & People Skills:Customer Focused approachAbility to adapt to different styles and behavioursWhat can we offer you?We offer an excellent remuneration package with fantastic opportunities for progression, learning and development.This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of an exciting, forward-thinking business.
