About the role
This is a Field based role, selling, and driving the entire Key Application Field (KAF) Draeger Safety Portfolio (product, service, and academy) to customers within an allocated geographical region.
The Regional Account Manager is accountable for achieving a target forecast set against the region, this will be achieved through business retention, organic growth, and new business wins.
Target market covers all industries.
Tasks and Responsibilities
• Sales of all Draeger products and services associated with the defined sales region with special attention on:
Ø Growth in Market Share
Ø Present and sell Draeger products and services to existing customers
Ø Prepare action plans to monitor and prioritise
Ø Create propositions for customers based upon value rather than cost
Ø Follow-up on leads (coming from e.g., trade shows) marketing publications
Ø Ensure that the sales and profit targets are achieved
• Efficiency
Ø Ensure efficient territory planning
• Pricing / Customer Profitability
Ø Ensure the profitability of every customer
Ø Ensure that discounts are within agreed limits
• Customer Management
Ø Monitor and prioritise upcoming tenders
Ø Coordinate internal Draeger teams of expertise in a number of disciplines to address the customer's needs and issues
Ø Maintain and build relationships with existing and potential customers at all levels of the organisation
Ø Develop plans to increase intimacy with key customers and arrange visits by appropriate Draeger personnel
Ø Identify and resolve (potential) conflicts with customers
Ø Prepare presentations, proposals, and sales contracts for customers
Ø Where necessary ensure the involvement of / coordination with Sales Management, Product Specialists, Draeger Service, Internal Sales, etc.
Ø Present the Draeger core values in front of customers
• Sales Processes - ensure compliance with relevant sales processes and KPIs as defined by the Sales Manager / Sales Director
Ø Customer Relationship Management
Ø Completion of CRM system
Ø Diary planning and call recording
Ø Quotation follow up
Ø Opportunity Management
Ø Data Management
The tasks and responsibilities above are typical of the duties the postholder will be expected to perform. It is not necessarily exhaustive and other duties of a similar nature and level may be required from time to time.
Global Key Account Management if required
Participation in marketing events trade shows, exhibitions, or seminars
Your Qualifications
Degree educated in a technical discipline is desirable, or relevant experience, combined with sound commercial skills
Business to Business sales skills, preferably gained within the industrial safety market
Account Management experience is essential.
IT literate and knowledge of Microsoft office
Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to persuade and influence others
Ability to handle / solve conflicts by adopting a win-win approach
Customer Orientated
Good presentation skills
Ability to create and edit written material (customer communication, offers, etc.)
Self-driven, proactive approach with a good ability to prioritise and work without close supervision
Full and current driving licence
Willingness to travel extensively on a flexible schedule, including some overnights.
Other tasks as requested by your immediate line manager.
Located within designated sales region, home office based
