We currently have a Recovery and Treatment Manager position available for a motivated individual to join our team in Crediton, Devon Joining us on a full-time basis, you will receive a competitive salary of £34,240 - £52,300 per annum plus excellent benefits.
About the role
As the Recovery and Treatment Area Manager, you will manage the performance, training, and development of the Waste Water Service Field Delivery Team. You will engage in the day to day operations, and maintenance of the Waste Water Treatment and Pump Station assets within the area, ensuring treated effluent and re-cycled sludge meet the required regulatory requirements.
The post holder will liaise with the wider team to ensure effective planned maintenance and reactive response to pump stations, which support effective operation of the sewerage network to satisfy customer's expectations, and protect the environment
What you'll be doing:
Manage a team of operatives and the operation and first line maintenance of the Waste Water Treatment Works (WWTW) and associated assets to achieve the required performance to achieve Company targets, i.e. CHP, Income, Energy, Compliance, HACCP, Odour contacts, Pollutions, Budgets
Minimise Pollutions from WWTW to ensure a Pure Environment is maintained
Take responsibility for root cause investigations within area of responsibility in liaison with the Operations Manager MIR to achieve internal SLA targets
Be accountable for meeting Health and Safety legal requirements, and demonstrating a quantifiable improvement in Health and Safety culture
Liaise with Maintenance Manager and the Tactical Support team within Asset Management to optimise the planning and implementation of asset repair and improvement works
Ensure local operation of strategic contracts within WWS is within contract scope and follows agreed processes. Specifically ensure the requirements of the JVT, Interworks, Biosolids and Pump Repair contracts are discharged effectively
Ensure the welfare, training and development of the field team is assessed and maintained at all times,
Work in partnership with the Control Centre and SCADA team to deliver the remote operation of assets to achieve required output quality and quantity, and minimise the number of reactive events (alarms) and operational cost
What we are looking for:
Degree/HNC or equivalent, in a recognised subject
Minimum of 5 GCSE's grade A-C, including English, Mathematics and Science
Management qualification or relevant experience, WAMITAB qualification or ability to complete, IOSH qualification or ability to complete are desirable
Proven experience in a management role for an operational area
Professional communication skills both verbally and written, to people at all levels of the business including external stakeholders
Proficient in the use of MS Office and in using software packages, Presentation Skills - proficient in professionally presenting information to a range of audiences using a range of media
Ability to manage conflict between people and effectively resolve sensitive issues
Ability to participate in the Duty Recovery and Treatment Area Manager standby rotation. Able to travel around the work area using company vehicle
Full UK Drivers Licence
