Job Description

We are now seeking a Receptionist to join our Front Desk team at our Appleton Thorn site in a 7-8 month fixed term contract. (Until Feb/March 2025).

Due to the location of site you will need a full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.

As a Receptionist you will actively enhance the company’s corporate image by communicating with all callers and visitors in a courteous, confident and appropriate manner

This is a full time, temporary position working Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5pm offering a competitive salary and package with the opportunity to work for a forward thinking market leader.

Job responsibilities of Receptionist include:

Answering incoming calls in a timely and professional manner and directing them accurately and efficiently. Ensuring the reception area is covered at all times
To forward any messages correctly and concisely as soon as possible
Meet and greet visitors, following any on-site processes
Maintain the general upkeep of the reception area and other allocated areas, ordering and controlling any agreed site reception supplies
Receive and sort incoming post, distributing as soon as possible, dealing with outgoing post ready for collection
Hospitality duties for on-site guests as requested.
Providing hospitality for meetings at other sites when requested.
To ensure that the meeting rooms are clean, well-stocked and equipped throughout the day, in line with the Meeting Room Procedures
General site administrative duties
Keep up to date with news items, vacancies and process updates as detailed on the ESL Intranet system
Bookings email, dealing with company hotel and car hires also including other travel requirements for the business.
General Admin duties including copying and filing.
Provide shift cover for the other Receptionists absences/holidays
Co-operate with your employer to enable any legal obligations to be complied with.
Do not recklessly interfere with anything provided by the employer or others in the interests of health, safety or welfare.
Bring to the attention of Executive Assistant any perceived short comings in health and safety arrangements, situations or processes that you consider to be serious or which may present danger to you or others
Do not undertake or request others to undertake any works for which you/they do not hold the required competency or authority to undertake

Qualifications

To apply for the role of Receptionist, you will possess the following skills, experiences and qualifications:

Excellent communications skills both verbal and written.
Previous receptionist experience isn’t needed but could be beneficial.
Confident in speaking both internal and external guests/colleagues.
Positive and proactive approach to work - you know who needs what, where, and when
Excellent attention to detail
Sound administration skills, ability to use Microsoft products including Word, Excel, Powerpoint
