Hours: Tue - Fri, 8am - 4pm
Salary: £100 per day
Start Date: After Easter until the end of the academic year

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Reception/Attendance Officer for a college in Sheffield. This vital role serves as the first point of contact for the college, requiring a professional and welcoming demeanor. The successful candidate will be responsible for updating registers, following up on non-attenders, and ensuring the smooth operation of the college's front desk. This position is an excellent opportunity to contribute significantly to the daily running and efficiency of the college.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the first point of contact for the college, managing front desk duties with professionalism.
• Update student registers accurately and efficiently using SIMs.
• Proactively chase up non-attenders and report attendance issues in line with college policy.
• Handle incoming calls, emails, and queries, directing them to the appropriate departments.
• Support the administration team with additional tasks as required.

Requirements:

• Proficiency in using SIMs is essential.
• Previous experience in a similar role within a school or college environment is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• A strong understanding of confidentiality and data protection principles.
• Must satisfy all background safer recruitment checks, including an enhanced DBS on the update service.
