React Developer EdinburghWe all get tired of seeing the same old names hiring the same identical role year round. So, it’s refreshing to be able to come to you with a unique role at a fascinating R&D 3D data visualisation company unlike anything else on the market. This one-of-a-kind organisation are basically a group of engineers, working slightly like mad scientists – with free reign and extensive funds to break new ground in 3D data visualisation. It wouldn’t be an exaggeration to say there is simply no other platform in the world capable of doing what theirs can. Infinite customisation to do anything you want with 3D data, in a sandbox type environment. They have been working in “stealth mode” on this platform for years, tirelessly perfecting and expanding the realms of what can be achieved with data visualisation. What's in it for you:A salary of up to 75,000Top of the range office set up in the heart of EdinburghFlexibility around working hour to accommodate your home lifeThe chance to work on some really out of the box projects, in a creative environmentThey work predominantly in React and CSS with Node.JS. WebGL is their main 3D library but really that can be picked up. What they want are true enthusiasts who have worked on weird and wonderful projects, either personally or professionally, outside the “norm”. They are all about presenting information through the most inventive and interactive of ways, so previous experience in AR, VR, interactive multimedia or data structures/algorithms is a big benefit.

The sort of experience and knowledge that would lend itself well to working here might include:React.js/Typescript3D libraries (WebGL is what they use, this isn't essential, but knowledge/interest in something equivalent is!)Node.jsCSSOpen Source contributions / well maintained Github / other public workThe work is complex and challenging, so they find engineers willing to work in the office three days a week (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday) enjoy the most success. You'll have the luxury of working from stunning city centre offices with great views and an even better vibe. Best-in-class equipment provided both in the office (including stunning 4K screens!) and for when you work remotely (Monday and Friday). Flexibility and a common-sense approach to work/life balance rules the roost, with allowances made for all the other stuff in life that occasionally gets in the way of work!Bright Purple are an equal opportunities employer: we are proud to work with clients who share our values of diversity and inclusion in our industry.
