Raw Materials Manager

We are recruiting for a Raw Materials Manager to cover a maternity leave for a period of 12 months working for a leading food business based in Hereford.
This role is working Monday to Friday 8am-4.30pm, is office based and is offering a salary of 28-33k per annum dependent on experience.
As Raw Materials Manager you will report into the Site Manager, and play a pivotal role in overseeing the journey of raw materials from procurement to utilisation, ensuring the smooth flow of raw materials to meet the demands. Your duties will cover the following: Effectively manage raw material contracts to ensure optimal procurement terms.Supervise and guide the Raw Materials Administrator.Oversee the intake of raw materials, including fuel, and ensure timely availability for production.Handle raw material claims and quality control data efficiently.Identify opportunities for backhauling to optimise logistics.Ensure accurate reconciliation of raw materials and finished feed to minimise variation or loss.Manage feed mill administration tasks, including ticket checking orders and resolving receipting queries.Coordinate the QC sampling process for raw materials.Produce monthly reports for accounts and key performance indicators (KPIs).
