If you're ready to drive excellence in material management and product development while championing sustainability and craftsmanship apply now to join for this exciting opportunity!RM & Hardware DevelopmentResponsible for all Leather and Fabric developmentResponsible for all Hardware developmentResponsible for the hardware and materials archiveChecks in with PD team on the critical path when any issues arise regarding RM or Hardware development and makes sure the critical path is updated.Makes sure all materials and hardware/ with all needed info on prices etc/ seasonal folders/ zedonk are up to date and present/ prepared for design meetings.Attends seasonal trade fairs to source new materials and hardware, creates the agenda for this visit and books appointments with agents and important suppliers and prepares the agenda for these meetings. Makes sure to collect and put together a list of materials that we need to source.Follow up after the fair and makes sure all swatches/samples/ colour cards and info regarding certification/ cost/ prices/ compositions/ lead-times/ moq’s etc.is initially collected.Negotiates with suppliers on prices/ moq’s/ grading split/ wastage/ payment terms/ lead-times etc. and makes sure all info is easy to find in zedonk, google sheets and/or on dropbox.Organises any visits of suppliers to the office and liaises also with production if they want to attend.Finds/ Sources new material and hardware suppliers where needed.Processes all RM and Hardware invoices in budget tracker and makes sure all Po’s are saved on the server. Takes care of all shipments regarding RM and hardwareMakes sure all sampling raw material and hardware stock counts are up to date.Makes sure new sampling hardware and raw materials are being checked when they arrive in the warehouse and flags any issues.Organises lab testing and requests wear-tests of new and existing materials and hardware when needed.Helps the factory to further improve PD raw material storage and stock keeping. Creating guides, giving workshops, colour coded storage, hardware recycling, creation of RM forms to keep stock count up to date.OrganisationResponsible for seasonal folders with colour cards, lab dips and new material swatches.Responsible for setting up all carry over styles in all colours and materials in zedonk.Responsible for creating all bom’s for all carry over styles.Responsible for adding/ update status of all carry over styles to sample tracker and sms overview.Makes sure al materials and hardware are added to zedonk, making sure to give the latest prices and adding any notes that could be important to wider pd team and production team.Makes sure all material and hardware supplier technical specs are up to date and saved on the server/ makes sure we have copies of their latest LWG certifications and other certifications whether on the environment/ animal welfare etc.Responsible for getting the materials ready for the wholesale showroom material vans.Adds all info on materials and hardware suppliers to the seasonal training pack.Responsible for collecting any notes/ quality issues regarding RM and hardware that could be important for the production team throughout the season and handing these over in a clear manner during the production handover.If needed checks what is the best way to cut a material when the skins are small and make sure this is incorporated in the costing> makes sure this clear on the plastics.Responsible for any positioning embroidery/ hotfix/ intarsia/ print placement on the pattern for production> makes sure panels are signed and dated by the factory and any necessary info is added to the plastics.Makes sure that for the production handover all final lab dips are ready, makes sure all colours are correct in Zedonk and all thread and edge paint colours are confirmed and updated in the google doc.Hands over approved RM lab dips to CS for production so they can double check the colour and shine when production arrives.Collaborates with Production responsible on RM and hardware standards.Takes part in any quality inspections when needed.Supplies whoever makes the care cards with care instructions (can be bullet points)SustainabilityIn charge of maintaining sustainability for RM and Hardware developmentSets up clear systems on the server accessible to the wider team to find supplier certifications and labels.Answers any questions from marketing or e-comm regarding raw material descriptions.Constantly investigating and updating areas of improvement in terms of sustainability.Continuously pushes the brands raw materials library to become as sustainable as possible.The ideal CandidateFluent in English Spanish speaking would be a plus.Minimum 3-4+ years’ experience in a similar role.Experience with leather accessories product development and raw material management, cost drivers & lead times.Needs to be highly detail oriented.Independent and structured way of working, strong organizational, time and action management skills.Ability to build strong relationships & maintain alignment with internal & external, cross functional partners.Willing and able to travel within Europe to visit tanneries, trade fairs and factories.Experienced in Microsoft Excel. Pivot tables & V-Look-ups level.Knowledge of Zedonk or other equivalent systemsProficient in industry performance standards, protocols, certifications and testing.
