Share Job detailsWe are recruiting a clinical nurse specialist (non medical prescriber) to join our rapid response team on a full-time permanent contract.
Salary£45,947.89 - £52,541.65 Dependant on experienceHours37.5 LocationMyland Hall, ColchesterWhat we’re looking forOur ideal candidate will:Provide clinical and professional leadership in order to ensure staff have the relevant skills to deliver high quality holistic care to patients and families. Develop a patient and family centred service, advocating for patients.Work closely with community colleagues, St Helena and Hospital staff in order to ensure that patients with a life limiting illness who require assessment for end of life care or urgent symptom control and assessment of holistic needs receive a timely response to rapidly deteriorating needs.Identify areas where existing standards should be updated and highlight new developments in practice to colleagues both internal and external.Assist the Hospice in the Home matron in the management of the rapid response nursing team, including supervision, absence management and rostering. Acting as line manager to identified individuals.Undertake direct assessment to patients and family with a life limiting illness who require rapid assessment for end of life care, urgent symptom control and holistic assessment of complex and sensitive situations within the community (This will include patients own homes, community hospitals, nursing and residential settings to support patients preferred place of care). Additional informationSt Helena provides a friendly, supportive and positive working environment across all our sites and diverse teams.
