Northumberland National Park is a stunning expanse of natural beauty, rich in cultural heritage and biodiversity. We are seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a Ranger. As a Ranger, you will play a crucial role in the conservation and enjoyment of this unique landscape, ensuring that visitors have a memorable
experience. £26,873 - £29,777 per annumFull time (37 hours per week)Must be able to work weekends and bank holidays Temporary contract (maternity cover up to 12 months)Based at Bardon Mill, Northumberland. You will need: Good knowledge and obvious passion for Northumberland National Park Formal training or experience in a Ranger based or countryside management discipline. Experience of working with and supervising volunteers, community groups and student placements. Ability to monitor and survey rights of way. Be able to assist with the delivery of programmes of engagement and education work including leading guided walks. Able to work on own initiative, alone and unsupervised.
Ability and experience of working with school groups to deliver education sessions Demonstrable ability to deliver practical maintenance tasks and projects, including the fabricating, repairing and installation of gates, stiles, signage and way marking (list not exhaustive).
