They’re seeking an experienced Rail Health & Safety Manager to join their team and to support on projects within the industry with an emphasis on Health & Safety Compliance and Project Management.The role is based at any of their UK offices on a hybrid working model of 2 days per week working in the office, 3 days per week working from home on a permanent staff basis.Key Responsibilities: Rail Health & Safety Manager- Implement and oversee SHE practices, maintaining robust risk and assurance processes.- Lead safety reviews, investigations, and RISQS assessments.- Manage fatigue management and working hours.- Act as Controller of Site Safety (COSS) and oversee Rail policies and procedures.- Plan and project manage Operational Property Inspections (OPI) work.- Prepare Safe Systems of Work Planning (SSOWP) for projects.- Manage various engineering schemes within the Rail Sector.Key Requirements: Rail Health & Safety Manager- Demonstrable experience in safety, health, quality, and environment governance in the rail industry.- Strong understanding of UK and European legislative frameworks.- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills.- Membership of IOSH would be preferred.Company InformationAt First Recruitment Group we understand just how important it is to secure the right people.
