We are excited to announce that we have been invited to bring our expertise and touch of magic to a brand-new setting to provide high quality affordable childcare at RAF Cosby. The nursery opened in April and we are looking for an additional Room Leader to join us on our journey to grow the nursery into a thriving and stimulating environment for our children and employees.About the teamOur new nursery is one of 14 settings in the RAFAKidz family. Initially we will have circa 20 employees and places for 100 children. The nursery has fabulous gardens, sensory rooms and a full time Chef. You will be supported by our wider management team including Nursery Manager, Area Manager, and Operations Director it’s a real team effort!About youWe are looking to welcome a new Room Leader who is Level 3 qualified, including qualified practitioners who are ready for their next step on their early years career path. If you can bring a motivated, enthusiastic, creative and ‘hands-on’ attitude, then please read on! We offer subsidised childcare for colleagues to be able to bring their children with them, high quality up-to-date training including using our software to electronically record your observations and updates. You’ll have ample annual leave and time off to relax and recharge over the Christmas period. We will give you a great induction experience, training and development opportunities and you’ll be learning on the job from our nursery management team. A typical day in the role will include the following responsibilities:To manage the day to day activities to ensure the smooth running of your roomSupport the development of good practice with regards to special needs and inclusion.Implement and support others in delivering, the EYFS in line with current practice and guidelines.To ensure effective staff deployment in your designated room to support staff deployment across the nurseryIn conjunction with the senior management team identify and address individual training needs of playroom staff.Provide leadership and support to room staff to enable them to establish and maintain positive working relationships.Ensure the effective implementation of the Key Worker procedures and allocate children to key workers appropriately.Please do review the complete job description for the full overview of requirements, but if you’re looking for a real opportunity to be part of our growth journey and help us specifically support our valued military community, please do apply.
